One of the best lakes in Europe to go paddeling in a row boat.

This is Lake Bled. It is a very calm, relaxing lake. With its pristine environmetn, beautiful lake setting, it even has a monastery in the middle of the Island. There is a nice walking track at the monastery. We visited Lake Bled and went rowing. There are several places you can hire rowboats, along the edges of the lake. In addition to rowing lakes, several tour guides are located along the shores of the lake taking visitors on small guided boats.

Even on a cloudy day, the setting and scenery on this lake is fantastic. Did you know there is a rustic, cozy restaurant, that is packed every night. We ordered pizza and beer, of course, very rustic style and it was packed. All the locals know about it.

Back to the lake. It is not possible to drive around the whole of the lake, the road does not go that far. We stayed at Villa Anna, which is walking distance to the lake and off the main road. Villa Anna also had onsite parking, which was great as we had a large van. Next door to the villa, actually 100m away, there is a bakery, we picked up morning goodies there for breakfast. Looking forward to visting Lake Bled again.
